Summary

Salah is built to collect nothing. Your location is used only on your device to compute prayer times and the qibla direction. There is no account, no login, no tracking, and no third-party analytics. Nothing you do in the app is uploaded to us or anyone else.

Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit your location off your device.
We do not require or offer an account, email, or sign-in.
We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
We do not sell, share, or monetize any personal data.

How your device data is used

Location (while in use): With your permission, the app reads your GPS location on the device to calculate accurate prayer times and the qibla bearing. It is never sent to a server. You can instead choose a city manually and leave GPS off entirely.
Compass / motion: Used only to render the live qibla compass on screen.
Notifications: Prayer-time (athan) alerts are scheduled locally on your device. No push server is involved.
Settings & preferences (calculation method, city, reminders, Hijri offset) are stored locally on your device and in a private app group shared with the app's widgets. They never leave your device.

Data retention & deletion

All app data lives on your device. Deleting the app removes it. There is no server-side copy to request or delete.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Advertising

The current version shows no ads and contains no advertising SDK. If a future version introduces ads, this policy and the App Store privacy label will be updated before that version ships, and any ad partner's data practices will be disclosed here.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly.
